Germany Bound

I've been making lists, test packing, and shopping for the last week so that I can be prepared for our trip to Germany...

There is a lot to do when traveling with Aurora. For instance: she needed a new coat, and some clothes for winter. You see, its November already and just yesterday the high was 75degrees. So we don't have anything more than long sleeve t-shirts and wind-breakers. That will be a problem when we reach Germany and the temps are much much cooler!

Then I got some new toys that she has never seen, so we can play on the airplanes.

Oh! I needed snacks for the trip.... and a book... and music...and I need to do laundry, and plan for this and that...

The lists are endless!! I'm sure that no matter how many times I go over it in my head, or on paper - I will forget something. I always do.

This will be my second time flying with Aurora to Germany, with just me and her. We couldn't fly to Germany with John because of leave dates vs miles redemption dates. So I am leaving with Aurora on Nov17 and John flies out on Nov21. Luckily though we will be able to return together on the same flights Dec8.

I am looking forward to this trip though, because I'm not nearly as afraid as before - I know what to expect, and at 3 years old, I can leave Aurora in her seat while I go to the restroom. AND I knew this time that I needed to schedule more than 1 hour for my layover in DC. :)
