Trick or Treating

As I mentioned before, Aurora had 2 different costumes this year, so she went to the play group's Halloween party as a bumblebee and went out Trick or Treating as Tinkerbell. She was so cute as each one - its hard to choose which one was best!

I borrowed paints from Cenema (She runs Cenema's Facepainting and I work for her occasionally) to decorate Aurora and my faces for Halloween.

Aurora absolutely loves to get her face painted! and I love to paint faces, so its win-win for everyone!

We went out with our playgroup friends Chrissie (plus her kids: Noah, Jacob, Kaylin and Zoe), Sarah (and her son Leif), Jamie (and her sons Duncan and Douglas) and Katrina (along with her mother in law, Mel, and daughter Maddie.) We walked about a mile trick or treating, and had a really good time.

This year I tried something new: I told Aurora about the Great Pumpkin. The Great Pumpkin comes to your house after Halloween and takes all your candy - but in its place leaves you a present. I took Aurora out to shop for what she would ask the Great Pumpkin for, then we wrote a note and left the candy out. When she woke up the candy was gone and in its place was the Bert and Elmo boat set for the bath tub.
